When the revolution in France happened and word got out in St. Domingue the people in St. Domingue saw that the poor people were overthrowing the wealthy people in France then the slaves in St. Domingue said that they should also fight back and take a stand because they were being treated really unfairly. Since many wealthy people died and St. Domingue’s solders and back up were dead then the poor people had an advantage and started to kill the wealthy people in St. Domingue and started toi take back their freedom.

The slaves were unwealthy and i believe that the similarities of the two gave the African slaves hope in that maybe just maybe they can also pull off what the French did.

If it wasn’t because in france they were cutting heads off the wealthy french, the french would have not escaped to St domingue, were the African slaves would see the french scared. And since now they cant call for help and there are more African slaves then White french… they are now dead meat.
The wealthy people treated the poor like garbage so they had enough, so they started chopping off wealthy people heads off.

It contributed, because, the black people killed the wealthy and high class people, basically for Napoleon, and then Napoleon turns on the black people saying they have to go back to being slaves because Napoleon needs money to take over the world (he gone need the slaves to grow,pick,and clean the 2 most important cash crops for him to get money, Coffee and Sugar)

The revolution in france contributed to black people rebelling in St.Domingue because people in france got tired of being treated unfairly and they knew that African slaves in St.Domingue were being treated unfairly so they decided to have one person from france go to all the slave plantation in haiti and spread the word that on August,15,1792 they were going to go against their slave masters at the same time and see where that gets them they had nothing to lose and were so tired of being forced to work long hours with no pay and barely and food. That actually got them very far over half the plantations in north haiti were taken over by slaves.

Slaves were not treated fairly; also poor people were not treated fairly as well so most of the poor people were using the Guillotine to kill the wealthy people and i have seen different Guillotines. slaves also fought but didn’t have weapons, did they just pick it up from dead white/french

Well since the word of the revolution was spread to St. Domingue, the slaves also wanted to fight back and scare the wealthy people. In that case, the Mulattos joined with the african slaves because since they were also wealthy, they didnt want to be killed.

They saw that other poor people in france were killing wealthy white french people and got the thought why don’t we kill wealthy white french people too if they can do it, why can’t we.
